Purpose and Requirements
Purpose and Requirements
The purpose of this program is to protect waterways by:
Preventing pollution to streets, generated by both the public and street O&M activities.
Recovering pollution that has entered, or may enter, the storm drain system.
Requirements include the following:
Sweep curbed streets and agency-owned parking lots
Respond to and clean-up spills in the public right-of-way
Implement BMPs during all maintenance activities
